OGRA Raises RLNG Prices Up to 2% for October 2025

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised the prices of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for consumers of both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), effective from October 1, 2025.

The regulator has increased the prices of RLNG in line with a marginal rise in global LNG import costs.Ogra reduces LNG prices by 20.5%

According to an official notification issued on October 15, 2025, OGRA has determined new RLNG prices in line with the federal government’s policy guidelines.

The revised rates show an increase of around 1.8% to 2% compared to the previous month. The revision in prices is primarily driven by a slight uptick in the Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) price — the import cost component of LNG cargoes which is delivered to Pakistan.

For the month of October 2025, the RLNG transmission price for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has been set at $11.4381 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).

The distribution price stands at $12.2300/MMBtu. In comparison, SNGPL’s September 2025 transmission and distribution rates were $11.2365 and $12.0127 per MMBtu, respectively. They reflect an increase of $0.2016 and $0.2173, or approximately 1.79% and 1.81%.

Similarly, for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), the new RLNG transmission price has been fixed at $10.0585/MMBtu.

The distribution price has been set at $11.2304/MMBtu. This represents an increase of $0.1965 and $0.2198, or 1.99% and 2.00% respectively against the previous month’s prices levels. The latest price adjustment has reflected marginal changes consistent with fluctuations in global LNG markets during September and early October.

OGRA’s spokesperson, Imran Ghaznavi, said that the increase in RLNG prices was mainly due to higher DES prices, a benchmark which reflects international market rates for LNG cargoes delivered to Pakistani ports.

He added that the latest price notification for October 2025 is also publicly available for the consumers on the OGRA website (www.ogra.org.pk).
