Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has directed intending Hajj pilgrims to complete their biometric verification for visa processing by February 8, according to ARY News.

In a statement, the ministry’s spokesperson said pilgrims should first use the Saudi Visa Bio mobile application to complete the process.

The app allows users to register through an email, scan their passport, take a selfie, and record their thumb impression, after which a confirmation email is issued.

Pilgrims facing difficulties using the application at home or experiencing problems with thumb impression verification have been advised to approach their respective banks for assistance.

The ministry also said six Tashir centres have been established across the country to facilitate those unable to complete biometric registration through the app.

The ministry clarified that visas will not be issued without biometric verification and urged pilgrims to complete the process before the February 8 deadline to avoid any difficulties.
