MOFEPT, BECS unveil first NFE Learner Support Package
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MOFEPT) has launched the first-ever Non-Formal Education (NFE) Learner Support Package at the BECS Model School Karlot Bara Kahu, under its ongoing reforms agenda for Non-Formal Education.
Nadeem Mahbub Federal Secretary MOFEPT, accompanied by the Director General of Basic Education Community Schools (BECS) Hameed Khan Niazi, visited the school and formally delivered the package, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening community-based learning and empowering learners and teachers.
The support package, generously provided by civil society, consists of essential learning and teaching materials, including notebooks, storybooks, stationery items, flash cards, a whiteboard, teachers’ diary, and attendance register.

These resources are aimed at improving classroom engagement, supporting teachers, and enhancing learning outcomes for BECS students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary MOFEPT appreciated the efforts of BECS teachers and management in delivering quality education at the grassroots level.
He assured that the Ministry will continue to extend full support to BECS learners and teachers as part of its broader reform initiatives.
The Secretary also commended the proactive role of the Director General BECS in mobilizing resources and ensuring the successful rollout of this initiative, which marks a significant milestone in promoting inclusive and accessible education across Pakistan.
The Ministry reiterated that this collaborative step reflects its vision of transforming Non-Formal Education through strong partnerships with civil society, provision of essential resources, and continued empowerment of teachers and learners nationwide.
