NAB Hands Over Retrieved State Land to Govt
The Ministry of Industries and Production held a formal ceremony on Wednesday for the handing over of retrieved state land.
On behalf of the Federal Government, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, received the retrieved land from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Chairman, Mr. Sohail Nasir, and Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Farmanullah.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of Industries and Production, Mr. Saif Anjum, NAB representatives, and the Director General, Mr. Freedoon Akram Sheik.
Through NAB’s efforts, 310 kanals of state land, worth billions of rupees and located in Haripur, were retrieved and handed over to the Federal Government via the Ministry of Industries and Production.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan emphasized that under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the protection of national resources is the government’s top priority. Mr. Khan further stated that through joint efforts of NAB and the Federal Government, national assets are being safeguarded in the interest of the people. He termed this success a practical manifestation of the Prime Minister’s vision of transparency and accountability.
