Polluting vehicles now face strict penalties: motorcycles Rs5,000, cars and jeeps Rs10,000, public service vehicles Rs15,000, heavy transport Rs20,000.
Littering from moving vehicles has penalties: motorcycles Rs2,000, cars and jeeps Rs10,000, public service vehicles Rs15,000, heavy vehicles Rs20,000.
Parking in no-parking zones also incurs similar fines, depending on vehicle type, to maintain road discipline and prevent traffic congestion.
Seatbelt violations are penalized: cars and jeeps Rs10,000, public service vehicles Rs15,000, and heavy vehicles Rs20,000 for driver and passenger safety.

Underage driving attracts the highest fines: motorcycles Rs25,000, cars and jeeps Rs30,000, public service vehicles Rs50,000, and heavy vehicles Rs100,000.
Using a mobile phone while driving results in fines: motorcycles Rs5,000, cars and jeeps Rs10,000, public service vehicles Rs15,000, heavy vehicles Rs20,000.
Motorcycles carrying more than two passengers now face Rs5,000 fines, while illegal parking ranges from Rs2,000 to Rs20,000 depending on the vehicle.
The government stated these measures promote responsible driving, prevent accidents, ensure citizen safety, and protect property across all urban and rural areas.
Drivers must comply with these updated rules immediately, or face strict enforcement, aiming to improve road safety and reduce traffic-related violations.
