NHA increases toll rates by 10%

Islamabad: The National Highway Authority (NHA) and MORE Administration have increased Toll Rates on M-2 by 10 % with a minimum of Rs 40 to a maximum of Rs 910 for vehicles.
The existing tolling rates of Rs 830 have been revised to Rs 910 for vehicles using Islamabad—Lahore (M-2). The NHA and MORE last year also revised toll rates from Rs 750 to Rs 830 in August.
According to Schedule I Clause 3 (b) (ii) (A) of the Concession Agreement between NHA and MORE, the new toll rates will be effective from August 26, 2021, it is learned reliably.
M-2—a 376 KM between Islamabad and Lahore—is the busiest motorways in the country also contributed the highest revenues in terms of tolling.
According to new tolling rates for Thallian would be Rs 40, Chakri Rs 110, Noor Abdullah Rs 170, Balkasar Rs 240, Kallar Kahar Rs 300, Lilla Rs 370, Bhera Rs 410, Kot Momin Rs 500, Sial More Rs 560, Pindi Bhatian Rs 610, M2-M4 STP Rs 620, Kot Sarwar Rs 660, Khanqah Dogran Rs 700, Hiran Minar Rs 750, Sheikhupura Rs 790, Kala Shah Kaku Rs 870, Kot Abdul Malik Rs 860, Faizpur Rs 870, M2-M3 STP Rs 870 and Lahore Rs 910, said newly revised toll rates.
The existing toll rates for the Islamabad-Peshawar (M1) Motorway, which is another major route, stand at Rs240 for cars and SUVs, Rs400 for 12 passenger vans, Rs550 for mini-buses, Rs790 for full-size buses, Rs1,230 for trucks, and Rs1,270 for semi-trailer trucks, as per the NHA’s official website.
