The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has slashed prices of re-gasified liquefied natural gas prices up to 5.3 percent effective January 1, 2026.

The revised tariffs apply to the consumers of both transmission and distribution segments of the two state-owned gas utilities. The Ogra took a decision in line with federal government policy guidelines.

According to the notification issued by the regulator, RLNG prices for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited declined for the month. Transmission prices were fixed at $10.4136 per MMBtu, against $10.9186 in December 2025, reflecting a month-on-month decrease of $0.5050 per MMBtu, or a 4.62%.

SNGPL’s distribution RLNG price was set at $11.2743 per MMBtu for January against $11.8280 per MMBtu in December, posting a decrease of $0.5537 per MMBtu or a 4.68% on a monthly basis, according to the OGRA determination.

For Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, the regulator also approved to cut RLNG rates. Transmission prices were fixed at $8.9770 per MMBtu for January 2026, down from $9.4741 per MMBtu recorded in December 2025, showing a reduction of $0.4971 per MMBtu or 5.25%.

SSGCL’s distribution price was notified at $10.2099 per MMBtu for January against the previous month’s rate of $10.7767 per MMBtu. The month-on-month decrease of $0.5668 per MMBtu has been translated into a 5.26% decline, OGRA said in its notification.

The regulator stated that the revised RLNG prices were determined under the prevailing policy framework. The prices are applicable for billing to relevant consumers during January 2026. OGRA added that the official RLNG price notification for the month is available on its website.
