Pak Hajj Mobile App Launched To Facilitate Pilgrims

The government has launched the Pak Hajj Mobile App that offers a range of functionalities for Hajj pilgrims.
The digital transformation of Hajj operations has been realized with the launch of a new mobile application.
This has been developed swiftly under the auspices of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
This innovative app, introduced by the joint efforts of Dr. Umar Saif, Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, and Aneeq Ahmed, Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, was unveiled by the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
The unveiling ceremony included a detailed briefing by NITB’s CEO, Babar Majeed Bhatti.

Dr. Umar Saif, addressing the event, emphasized the rapid advancement of digitalization in the nation, spurred by directives from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The app, as outlined by Dr. Saif, offers a range of functionalities for Hajj pilgrims. It facilitates registration via an OTP sent by SMS, assigns a unique ID to each user, and allows for the updating of personal and contact information.
It provides real-time updates on Hajj application statuses, including submission, success, failure, and refunds.
The app also encompasses comprehensive details like group and Mehram information, additional facilities, financial aspects such as Hajj dues and nominee details, and bank account information of the applicants.
Further, Dr. Saif highlighted that the app enables access to details about Hajj groups, training schedules, and flight information for both departure and return.
Accommodation details in Makkah and Madina, including sector, building, and room specifics, along with Maktab location, are also accessible through the app. It facilitates the tracking of dues and refund statuses and allows for the submission and management of complaints and inquiries.
Designed to be user-friendly, the app supports multiple languages, initially offering English and Urdu, with plans to include more languages in the future.
This multilingual feature is aimed at enhancing accessibility and ease of use for a diverse group of pilgrims.
