Pakistan May See New BYD Premium Models

BYD models are already on road in Pakistan. There are hopes that the company may introduce some new models in Pakistan as the company is set to introduce premium models and breakthrough technologies on March 5.

These models include the refreshed Denza Z9GT, a new Datang SUV, and updated Yangwang vehicles which are going to be unveiled at a “disruptive technology” event scheduled on March 5, the Chinese electric vehicle maker said.

The company said it also planned to debut a flagship D-segment SUV called the Datang alongside the updated Denza Z9GT at the March 5 event. Both vehicles could begin pre-sales immediately after the launch, with official deliveries expected later.

Denza shared a preview of the refreshed Z9GT on social media ahead of the unveiling. The Denza Z9GT is described as having achieved a major range breakthrough, with its pure-electric model offering up to 1,036 km of range — making it one of the longest-range production electric vehicles currently available, according to Denza.

Alongside Denza products, BYD’s ultra-premium Yangwang brand will feature updated models at the event. The Yangwang U7, Yangwang U8, and Yangwang U8L are scheduled to be part of the March 5 rollout, signalling BYD’s push deeper into the high-end segment.

The Datang SUV is expected to feature a 1000V high-voltage architecture and could be positioned in China’s premium SUV market at around 400,000 yuan (about $58,000), local media reports suggest. The model may use a 10C-rated flash-charging battery capable of peak charging power near 1,000 kW, helping reduce recharge times.

The model launch comes as BYD seeks to bolster sales following several months of declining domestic deliveries. Industry sources say the company continues to expand overseas exports even as domestic growth moderates.
