Pakistan Repeat Rare Batting Collapse Against South Africa
Pakistan were dismissed for 378 runs on the second morning of the opening encounter of the two-match Test series against South Africa at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The home side suffered a dramatic collapse once again, losing five wickets for just sixteen runs after showing strong control during the opening day of play.
The lower order failed to counter Senuran Muthusamy, who claimed the final three wickets in rapid succession to end the first innings of the home side early.
Spin duo Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan both departed without scoring, leaving the hosts short of building a potentially strong and commanding total in Lahore.
It was only the second occasion in Pakistan Test history when five partnerships produced no runs, both incidents occurring against South Africa.
