Pakistani Star Sidra Nawaz Named in ICC Women’s World Cup XI
ICC has announced the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament, honouring players who delivered outstanding performances throughout the competition.
Six players who competed in the dramatic final between India and South Africa secured places in the prestigious lineup, representing both finalists’ remarkable achievements.
Champions India lead the team with three standout stars — Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma — who were pivotal in their title-winning campaign.
Mandhana finished as the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer, Rodrigues shone with a semi-final century, and Deepti’s all-round brilliance defined India’s dominance on the world stage.
Runners-up South Africa also contributed three exceptional players, with captain Laura Wolvaardt chosen to lead the Team of the Tournament for her record-breaking performances.
Wolvaardt amassed 571 runs at an impressive average of 71.37, setting a new record for the highest run tally in Women’s World Cup history.
All-rounders Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk joined her in the lineup, earning selection for their consistent match-winning contributions with both bat and ball.
Australia, who reached the semi-finals, had three players named — Ash Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, and leg-spinner Alana King — for their significant all-round impact.

Pakistan’s wicketkeeper Sidra Nawaz earned her place for finishing with the highest number of dismissals, including four lightning stumpings that highlighted her sharp reflexes.
England’s Sophie Ecclestone also made the team for her superb control and wicket-taking consistency, while Nat Sciver-Brunt was named as the twelfth player.
India legends Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, and Anjum Chopra joined post-tournament celebrations as honorary guests, commemorating India’s iconic World Cup victory in fitting fashion.
