PCB Unveils New Prize Pool for PSL 2026 Teams
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has unveiled a significantly enhanced prize pool for the franchises taking part in the 11th edition of the PSL, scheduled for 2026.
In a message shared on platform X, Naqvi said the revamped rewards recognise the franchises’ role in elevating the league.
Under the new structure, the champions will receive $500,000 while the runners-up will take home $300,000.
A separate prize of $200,000 will be awarded to the franchise recognised for its contributions to cricket development.
Naqvi said the increased incentives reflect the board’s ambition to “take Pakistan cricket to new heights,” signalling stronger support for both performance and grassroots investment.

Separately, the PCB confirmed that the auction for two new HBL PSL franchises will take place on 6 January 2026, marking a major step in the league’s long-planned expansion.
The introduction of two additional teams is expected to broaden commercial opportunities, deepen fan engagement, and further solidify the PSL’s footprint across the country.
Cities shortlisted for potential franchise allocation include Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit.
Only technically qualified bidders will be permitted to enter the auction, and successful applicants will have the right to choose their preferred city and team name from the approved list.
