Petrol prices in Pakistan have witnessed a decline of Rs 5.66 per litre effective from October 16,2025.

The government has reduced the price of high speed diesel by Rs 1.39 per litre, kerosene oil Rs 3.26 per litre and light diesel oil Rs 2.74 per litre.

According to industry data, price of all petroleum products including Petrol (PMG), High-Speed Diesel (HSD), Kerosene, and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) — were projected to witness a decline from October 16, 2025.

The oil industry had seen a decline in Ex-refinery prices for petrol by Rs 6.10 per litre, bringing the new expected rate to Rs 156.86 per litre, registering a decline of 3.7% drop.
HSD was projected to fall marginally by Rs 0.97 per litre to Rs 173.31. Kerosene and LDO prices may see reductions of Rs 2.74 and Rs 1.64 per litre, respectively.Govt Maintains Oil Prices Till October 31
At the ex-depot level, PMG prices were expected to decrease from Rs 268.68 to Rs 262.58 per litre, with a decline of Rs 6.10 or 2.3%.
HSD was also supposed to witness a slight cut of Rs 0.97 and new rates were expected to be set at Rs 275.84 per litre. Similarly, Kerosene is likely to drop by Rs 2.75 to Rs 182.22 per litre, and LDO by Rs 1.64 to Rs 163.86 per litre.
These variations are influenced by international market trends and adjustments in product premiums. The basis for local pricing includes PMG (PL+CSL) at Rs 80.52 and HSD (PL+CSL) at Rs 79.51 per litre.
Current IFEM rates amount Rs 8.69 for petrol and Rs 6.19 for HSD. The petrol premium amounts $6.62 per barrel and HSD at $3.20 per barrel. Platts assessments still pending for two more days.
