Indian hackers hacked the dashboard of Power Information Technology Company (PITC), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Power Division.
However, PITC authorities claim they had taken timely measures to counter the Indian hackers, and the PM office directed NITB to take its control.
The ministry’s website was shut down overnight and restored on Wednesday, the sources in Prime Minister’s Office told Urduleads.
The PM office has directed the Ministry of IT that the NITB should take control of PITC. The NITB is a subsidiary of the Information Technology (IT) ministry.
According to sources in the Ministry of Power, Indian hackers had hacked the dashboard of the PITC website on which important records of the ministry had also been hacked. The PM office also directed NITB to take control of the website.
The source added that the main page of the website “Disco’s Efficiency Monitoring System” has also been hacked. The CEO of the company confirmed the hackers had attacked but they were unable to hack data as the website did not contain any important data.
