Different theories have led to the current political turmoil and no trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. Critics had termed the Premier’s visit to Russia as one of the key reasons that annoyed the United States and her allies EU countries who sent letters to the Imran government to convey their dissent. However, Premier Khan relates his recent ‘Moscow’ trip with the consent of military top brass who advised him to shake hands with Putin.
The ongoing political turmoil in the country has disclosed the childish attitude of the ruling elite as the premier of the country Imran Khan sitting in hot waters claimed that his trip to Moscow was recommended by military top brass, which was later gigantically criticized by US, West and NATO alliance countries.
After bagging the majority of numbers in the upper house of parliament by joint opposition for a vote-of-no-confidence motion against prime minister Imran Khan, the premier of the country while trying to save his ventilated government called on senior journalists at his office Wednesday to share the major points of secret threatening letter brandishing during a power show in the federal capital.
Mr. Khan was on Wednesday evening expected to address the nation as it was scheduled by the PM secretariat, however the eleventh hour, he postponed his address.
Military and premier secret service chiefs met with Khan twice on the same day to discuss the current situation on internal and external fronts in the country, however, Military brass stood with its same standing point of no interference in political matters.
The same day, Mr. Khan called on the senior journalists to share with them the major points of the letter, which was brandished on the PTI power show on Sunday.
While interacting with journalists, Mr. Khan surely after taking the advice from his near and dears in the federal cabinet take the stance that an envoy had sent the letter to Pakistan after he met an official of a foreign country.
Diplomacy Can avert Ukraine Military Conflict: Imran Khan Tells Putin
One of the senior journalists and anchorperson of a private TV Channel, Shahzad Iqbal in his recent blog quoting federal minister Asad Umer said that the memo mentions that if the no-confidence motion passes, everything will be forgiven for Pakistan.
The federal minister one step ahead elaborated that the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif met officials from the “intelligence agencies of other countries”.
The journalist who was part of this meeting while quoting the sources said that Premier Khan extending the statements made by his cabinet member said that the Military top brass was taken into confidence before leaving for Moscow to handshake Vladimir Putin, the Russian president.
Mr. Khan was of the view that Military top brass appreciated him after concluding the Moscow visit.
Besides childishly ruling the country with his team members as an old vine in a new bottle put the premier in trouble, Mr. Khan also opened another front against him when he became a party in the transfer and posting of the premier secret service chief and created controversy over the extension of the military chief to secure his government.
The joint opposition was waiting for the right time to play its turn, It was not actually to take over the incumbent government, however; the cold war between the Khan regime and state institutions, drastic inflation, economic crunch, and human rights violations in the country pave the way for joint opposition to bring the imported elite ruling regime on knees.
After submitting the vote-of-no-confidence motion by joint opposition in the National Assembly secretariat, premier Khan expedited the struggle to save his government and started to contact allied political parties, including more prominent PML-Q, MQM, and BAP party leadership. Similarly, the announcement made by devocalize parliamentarians of PTI to stand in the joint opposition camp and will vote against Mr. Khan once again jolted the PTI ruling elite.
The military establishment conveyed very loudly to all corridors of democratic regimes that they won’t interfere at any stage in the political business of the country and democratic forces should resolve their issues while following the constitution accordingly without any violence and anarchy in the country.
The US government reacted strongly as premier Khan brandished a letter during a power show at parade ground saying that it contains evidence of a foreign plot hatched against him. The opposition’s no-trust motion is also a part of this foreign conspiracy to topple his government.
The State Department categorically rejected any kind of involvement in the no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan.
Diplomatic sources in US Embassy said that allegations of US involvement in the no-trust motion and ‘threat letter’ to premier Khan are baseless.
The US government is monitoring the political situation of Pakistan, however, and supports the rule of law in Pakistan, the State Department said.
Now the questions are being raised publicly that how the premier of the country can perform an irresponsible job to disclose secret information and discussions with the country’s defense institutions particularly when the country is facing the worst political turmoil in the country and internationally receiving strong criticism from Western world and US.
