Nepra reduces Price of electricity by 21 paisa per unit
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has reduced the price of electricity by 21 paise per unit on account of fuel adjustment for the month of June 2021.
The impact of the reduction in price will reflect in the electricity bills of next month.
NEPRA will issue its detailed decision regarding the reduction in electricity price later.
The decision will not apply to Lifeline, agricultural and K-Electric consumers.

Institutions have been holding each other accountable for two and a half years and now it should be settled who is responsible, Member Sindh NEPRA said.
They decided to call a meeting of representatives of CPPA, NTDC, and Discos to settle the issue.
NEPRA officials further said that running plants beyond merit orders will impose an additional burden of Rs 1.5 billion.

The government is investigating the recent power crisis, said NEPRA chairman, and added that the issue of non-availability of fuel is related to OGRA that is beyond our domain.
CPPA has sought adjustments of Rs 13 billion for the last three years, NEPRA officials said adding that adjustments will result in providing a benefit of Rs 11 billion to the consumers.
CPPA officials said that they had reconciled the adjustments which Nepra had not approved.
They informed that they would present a separate case and present it before the authority.
