PTA box littered with Jazz consumers’ complaint

Islamabad: Jazz—with the highest number of subscribers in the country—has the highest number of complaints. The complaints comprise nearly 54% of the total registered queries by PTA through its online portal. Simultaneously, its 4G services’ signal strength in rural areas has not met the confidence level of 90% of subscribers. This reveals in the official data of the PTA.
Jazz has online complaint portal but the consumers in remote areas have no knowledge how to use it. The consumers may also approach PTA to register complaint as well.
According to data, Lahore—the provincial capital of Punjab—is on the top of the complaints registered by its consumers in all three categories, including poor quality of service, coverage, and billing (overcharging) issues. In contrast, signals of its 4G service in rural areas are up to the authority standards.

Jazz Pakistan—is also operating in 10 other countries as well, is not only providing voice call and 4G services but also \digital financial services platform, JazzCash, is also the most widely used digital wallet, providing mobile-based services such as money transfers and bill payments and as well as an online payment gateway for e-commerce.
Jazz consumers continue suffering despite its has online system to register complaint. However, consumers complain of delay in response by the telecom company.
PTA received the highest number of complaints against Jazz Pakistan about its poor service quality in major cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Okara. In contrast, it also received 45% complaints regarding non-provision of service—Coverage Issues—in cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Charsadda, Karachi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Nowshera, said the PTA data.
Similarly, Jazz received 58% of complaints regarding billing issues—Overcharging/Tariff—from the consumers of major cities that include Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Jauharabad, the data added.
Another PTA survey revealed that Jazz had not met the confidence level of 90% of signal strength, particularly in the country’s rural areas. In contrast, Jazz voice calls of 98% have not met in rural and urban areas of the country.
Jazz is a leading Pakistani telecom company with highest number of consumers. But it fails to provide valuable services to the consumers.
