PTA Data Shows Rise in 4G Subscriptions

Pakistan’s total cellular subscriber base rose to 200.55 million by the end of December 2025, from 196.584 million recorded at the end of November nationwide.

Figures released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority showed mobile teledensity increased from 79 percent in November to 80 percent in December during 2025 the period.

Overall teledensity also rose from 79.94 percent in November 2025 to 81.33 percent by the end of December, according to data released by the authority.

The total number of 3G and 4G users increased to 150.588 million in December from 148.197 million at the end of November according to records.

This represented a net addition of more than 2.391 million next generation mobile users within a single month, the authority said in its monthly update.

Next Generation Mobile Service penetration increased from 59.46 percent to 60.32 percent, reflecting steady growth across Pakistan’s mobile networks during the month of December 2025.

Jazz reported no 3G users, while Zong, Telenor Pakistan and Ufone recorded rising 4G subscriptions and declining 3G bases in December according to PTA figures.
