PTCL inked deals with Huawei to upgrade network
PTCL has made important agreements with Huawei Pakistan for the IP Edge and Optical Transport Network modernization (OTN).

Modernizing inter-city and long-haul networks are part of this initiative to meet the expected rise in traffic. Combined with the existing OTDN backbone, the PTCL long-haul capacity will be multi-Tb/s, capable of delivering improved services to the country.
Additionally, to increase the availability of IP connectivity in Pakistan, PTCL will deploy a Unified IP Edge network spanning more than 130 locations.
This additional upgrade, in addition to PTCL’s recently modernized Multi-Service Core & Internet Gateway network, will help companies meet future customer-end requirements for 100-400 Gigabit per second scalability.
