Authorities have activated snowfall arrangements in Murree as preparations begin for an expected surge of tourists during winter holidays.
The Punjab government has activated nineteen facilitation centres along GT Road and roads linking Murree with Azad Kashmir.
Officials said the centres will operate round the clock throughout the snowfall season, with staff from relevant departments working in shifts.
To manage traffic and ensure safety, additional traffic police officers and civil defence volunteers have been deployed across the area.
Authorities have also begun monitoring vehicles entering Murree from all toll plazas to prevent congestion.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department will issue snowfall alerts every ten hours to keep departments and tourists informed.

Officials expect a sharp rise in visitors as winter vacations begin this week, with heavy tourist inflow anticipated from Friday, December nineteen.
For snow clearance, twenty-six snow removal vehicles have been deployed, supported by adequate stocks of salt and chemicals.
Each machine will operate continuously during snowfall, with three trained staff members assigned to manage operations.
Parking on roadsides during snowfall has been banned, and violating vehicles will be removed by police to avoid accidents.
Strict security arrangements will be enforced at Mall Road, Pindi Point, Kashmir Point, GPO Chowk and the main market.
Women police personnel and local youth volunteers have been deployed to assist families, manage crowds and prevent disputes.
