Punjab Announces New Winter Timings for Schools
The Punjab government has announced new winter school timings for all public and private schools in the province, effective from today till March 31, 2026.
As per the revised schedule, single shift boys schools will operate from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm Monday through Thursday, while Friday sessions will end at 12:30 pm.
Single shift girls schools will start at 8:30 am and finish at 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, with Friday classes concluding at 12:15 pm precisely.
Double shift boys schools will hold the first shift from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm Monday to Thursday, while Friday sessions will conclude at 12:30 pm sharp.
The second shift for double shift boys schools will run from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and on Fridays it will close early at 2:00 pm.

For double shift girls schools, the morning session will operate from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday, ending at 12:15 pm on Fridays.
The afternoon session of double shift girls schools will start at 12:45 pm and finish at 4:45 pm Monday through Thursday, with Fridays ending at 4:45 pm.
Schools have been directed to implement the updated timings immediately to ensure proper academic routines are maintained effectively throughout the entire winter period across the province.
Officials stated that the new schedule has been introduced to accommodate colder winter weather, offering students and staff a consistent timetable without reducing regular teaching hours.
