Punjab’s education boards have finalized the schedule for the 2026 Intermediate annual examinations while setting May 5 as the start date across the province.
The exams for FA, FSc, ICS, and I.Com students will start simultaneously at all designated centres, reveal officials of the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The schedule applies to those regular and private candidates who will be appearing in the annual cycle.US-Pakistan education ties strengthened with USEFP
The admission form submission process has already begun, and boards have urged students to complete the filing without delay.
Officials said early submissions would help boards to finalize logistical arrangements, including examination halls and invigilation staff.
Authorities have also warned the candidates who fail to meet the prescribed deadlines will have to pay additional late fees. The students will also face penalties under the standard fee structure notified by the boards for delayed submissions.
Education officials have also emphasized the timely form submission is essential to ensure a smooth examination process. Delays can result in complicating roll number issuance and seating plans, particularly given the large number of candidates appearing each year.
While the overall commencement date has been confirmed, the authorities have not issued subject-wise schedule. Board officials said the board would issue detailed date sheets separately after finalizing examination logistics.
The exams will be conducted under the direct supervision of Punjab’s education boards in line with established examination protocols. Security, monitoring, and fairness measures may remain in line with previous annual examinations.
Officials have advised students to regularly check board notifications for updates relating to date sheets and examination instructions. Further announcements may come in the coming weeks as preparations move into the final phase.
