Punjab conducts one of the country’s largest secondary examination systems. Each year, more than two million students appear in matriculation and intermediate exams across the province, according to data released by the Punjab education authorities in recent annual reports. The Class 10 examination, also known as Matric Part II, plays a decisive role in college admissions and merit calculations.
In 2025, the boards reported an overall matric pass percentage hovering between 65% and 75%, depending on the region, reflecting gradual improvements in exam monitoring and curriculum alignment. Education officials have increasingly emphasized transparent paper-setting, digital result processing, and strict anti-cheating measures to ensure credibility.
The uniform date sheet follows the provincial government’s policy of synchronized examinations to maintain administrative efficiency and fairness. Over the past decade, Punjab has moved toward centralized coordination among boards to reduce discrepancies in scheduling and evaluation standards.
Officials have advised students to download the detailed subject-wise date sheet from their respective board websites and verify roll number slips well before the exams. Authorities have also urged candidates to reach examination centers at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to avoid last-minute complications.
