Punjab Opens Recruitment for ASI and SI Posts – Apply Today

Punjab Police has opened applications for Sub-Inspector (SI) positions for 2025, offering graduates a chance to build careers in law enforcement.

The latest recruitment drive in the provincial police force features 295 vacancies across all major divisions of the province.

The positions are allocated region-wise, ensuring fair representation under open merit, minority, and women quotas. Gujranwala leads with 45 seats, followed by Rawalpindi with 39, and other regions including Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad each with around 30 vacancies.

Candidates must hold a graduate degree with a minimum 2nd Division, and fall within the age bracket of 20 to 25 years.

No age relaxation will be granted under Punjab Civil Servants Rules. Applicants must also meet physical standards: males require a height of 5’7” and chest size of 33”–34.5”, while females must have a minimum height of 5’2”. Visual standards require 6/9 eyesight or better.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official portal, with selection involving written examinations, physical assessments, and interviews.

Earlier this week, Pakistan Railways also announced a large-scale recruitment drive to strengthen passenger safety, internal management, and asset security across the country.

In the first phase, more than 1,000 officials will be appointed, including 81 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and 914 constables. Candidates for ASI posts are required to hold an intermediate qualification, while matriculation is the minimum requirement for constables.

The Ministry of Railways has confirmed that women and minority communities will be allocated reserved seats to promote equal opportunity and diversity.
