Rs1.76bn approved for Covid response program
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet is likely to allocate Rs 1.76 billion to strengthen DHO hospitals and build capacity to respond to Covid-19 Pandemic and other calamities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Covid Responsive Programme.
The ECNEC has approved an umbrella PC-I titled” Covid Responsive and other Natural Calamities Control programme and allocation of Rs.70.00 billion has been made in the PSDP 2020-21 Development Grant No.178 of Ministry of Planning, Development, and Initiatives(PD&SI).
The CDWP has approved the project” Strengthen HQ Hospitals(Building Capacity to Respond to Covid-19/Any pandemic in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under”Covid-19 Responsive and Natural Calamities Control Programme to be funded on sharing basis by the Federal Government and the Government of Pakhtunkhwa.
PD&SI Division has accordingly made allocations to the scheme through adjustments in PSDP 2020-21 vide letter dated 29 and surrendered an amount of Rs.1,762.146 million from IB2318 COVID-19 Responsive and other natural calamities Programme” under Demand No.178 vide surrender letter in favour of Finance Division to obtain Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) of an equal amount.
Therefore, approval of Economic Coordination Committee the Finance ministry has sought approval of economic coordination committee (ECC) to approve a supplementary grant of Rs.1,762.146 million for strengthening of DHO hospitals and build capacity to respond to Covid 19 or any other pandemic in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Covid Responsive and other natural calamities.
