Authorities have seized a total of 307 kilograms of drugs during intelligence-based raids in and around educational institutions in Islamabad, officials reported to the Senate.
Details presented in the Senate highlight the results of anti-drug operations carried out over the past three years. The raids targeted drug smuggling and distribution within educational institutions and surrounding areas.
According to the report, 214 cases were registered and 263 individuals arrested in Islamabad over the three-year period for drug-related offences in and around schools and colleges.

In 2023, authorities confiscated 3 kilograms of drugs from educational institutions, leading to four arrests and four registered cases. The following year, 2024, saw a sharp increase, with 176 kilograms of drugs seized, 102 cases registered, and 125 individuals arrested.
In 2025, the crackdown intensified further, resulting in the confiscation of 307 kilograms of drugs, 108 cases registered, and 134 arrests.
Officials emphasised that the operations were conducted based on intelligence to prevent the circulation of drugs among students and maintain safety in and around educational institutions.
