Sri Lanka made late changes to their T20I squad for the upcoming Tri-series as captain Charith Asalanka and fast bowler Asitha Fernando fell ill.

Both players will return home immediately for proper medical care, ensuring recovery ahead of a busy international calendar next year.

Dasun Shanaka has been reinstated as captain to lead the team through the tri-series against Pakistan and Zimbabwe, starting from today.

Selectors added young talent Pavan Rathnayake, who recently debuted in ODIs, to bolster the squad with emerging batting options.
