Stats Show Pakistan Struggles with Opening Partnerships in ICC WTC Since 2023

Pakistan Test team has struggled at the top of the order in the ICC World Test Championship since 2023, with its opening partnerships averaging only 21.83 runs.

The team has managed just two fifties and no centuries, highlighting a critical weakness that needs improvement for stronger and more consistent starts in red-ball cricket.

By comparison, the arch-rival India leads all Test cricketing nations with an impressive average of 41.83, producing 12 fifties and four centuries at the top of the batting order.

England also shows strong performances, maintaining an average of 39.79 with 13 fifties and two hundreds, while South Africa and Australia average 34.19 and 31.31 respectively.
