Sufyan Shines as Pakistan Hold India in Johor Cup

Pakistan and India played a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Sultan of Johor Cup on Tuesday, adding another intense chapter to their hockey rivalry.

The exciting clash at Taman Daya Hockey Stadium saw the arch-rivals display fast-paced hockey, filled with momentum swings and strong offensive play from both sides.

Pakistan gained an early advantage when captain Hannan Shahid successfully converted a penalty stroke in the fifth minute to put his team ahead.

The Green Shirts nearly doubled their lead shortly after, but Sufyan Khans penalty corner attempt narrowly missed the target and kept the score unchanged.

Both sides created scoring chances during the first half, yet Pakistan managed to maintain a narrow 1-0 advantage as the teams went into halftime.

In the 39th minute, Sufyan scored again from a penalty corner, extending Pakistans lead to 2-0 and putting India under immense pressure.

India responded strongly, netting three goals within eight minutes through Araijeet Singh Hundal, Sourabh Anand, and Manmeet Singh to claim a 3-2 lead.

Pakistan refused to give up, and Sufyan Khan struck again in the 54th minute with a fine equaliser after beating the Indian goalkeeper.

Both sides pushed hard for a winning goal in the final minutes, but the match ended 3-3, leaving the archrivals to share the points.
