Pakistani citizens planning a short-term visit to Sweden must show they have sufficient funds when submitting a Schengen visa application for travel.
The financial requirement is intended to ensure visitors can cover living costs and other expenses during their 90-day trip without facing financial difficulties.
Applicants are required to provide a recent, valid bank statement with the visa paperwork to demonstrate stability and to show they are genuine short-term visitors.
The bank statement must display transactions covering the last six months and bear an official signature and stamp from the issuing bank to be accepted.
For a tourist visa, Swedish authorities recommend a daily amount of 80 Euros to cover living expenses, which applies throughout the 90-day period.

That daily figure translates to a required total of 7,200 Euros for a full 90-day stay, and applicants must show access to this sum.
As of 2 December 2025, 1 Euro equals Rs324.5, meaning Pakistani applicants must hold roughly Rs2.3 million in their account when applying.
