Telenor consumers mostly face overcharging, tariff, billing issues

Islamabad: Telenor—Norwegian CMO in Pakistan—enjoying the second position with mobile subscribers in the country, has also on the second position with several consumer complaints. The CMO has complaints regarding the quality of service, non-provision of the network, and billing issues said a recent PTA survey and available with Newztodays.com.

Telenor’s consumers from Faisalabad, Islamabad, and Karachi are among the top complaints regarding the regulator’s three parameters. In contrast, Telenor consumers from the cities of Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, and Lahore have also reported complaints against Telenor Pakistan.

Out of total complaints against the poor services of Telenor in Pakistan, the survey further revealed that 23 % of complaints were reported each on the poor quality of services from Lahore, Faisalabad, and Islamabad, 18% from Karachi, and the remaining 13% from the cities of Bahawalpur, Chakwal, and Rawalpindi.

About the non-provision of Telenor Pakistan services, the survey highlighted that the network faces less percentage of complaints of just 6 % than its rest of competitors with consumers from Karachi are top of facing this issue and consumers of Lahore also facing the issue of non-provision of Telenor service.

Regarding billing issues (overcharging/tariff), the survey further said that the consumers of Telenor Network have this issue of 23 % after Jazz being on the top with 59% in cities like Jauharabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Faisalabad.
