UAE announces to set up Pakistan Pavilion at Dubai Expo

Islamabad: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the establishment of a permanent structure costing $ 20 million at the Dubai Expo for Pakistan (Pakistan Pavilion).
The Ambassador of UAE informed SAPM Dar that the government of UAE has announced the establishment of a permanent structure costing $ 20 million at the Dubai Expo for Pakistan (Pakistan Pavilion).
He added that a special corner for youth at Pakistan Pavilion in Dubai Expo 2020 can be an ideal opportunity for Pakistani youth to showcase their talents. ” 1.7 million Pakistanis including doctors, engineers, and laborers working in UAE are part of our success”, said the Ambassador.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Mr. Dar in a meeting held on Thursday extended gratitude for the support and cooperation of the government and people of UAE in various fields in Pakistan. He deeply appreciated Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s announcement of $ 200 million to support small and medium-sized enterprises in Pakistan. “Your support will surely help in enhancing economic activities at SME level that will also create jobs opportunities for our youth. Your assistance in the areas of health and education are also highly commendable”, said Mr. Dar
Hamad Obaid Alzaabi said that Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s focus for cooperation in Pakistan includes youth, education, and health sectors. He mentioned his government’s projects in the education sector in South Waziristan, KPK, and Baluchistan. “We are also working on establishing training centers in view to better equip teachers in these schools”, said the Ambassador.
Dar said that young and successful entrepreneurs from Pakistan can present their achievements at Dubai Expo 2020. Aspiring youth may also learn greatly if provided the opportunity of an exposure visit to UAE, especially to the first established Artificial Intelligence University. “We will actively engage UAE and other friendly countries in all youth-related activities undertaken under PM Kamyab Jawan Program. This will be coordinated through our implementing partner UNDP”, expressed Mr. Dar.
Dar said that Rs. 100 billion Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) and Rs. 30 billion Skill for All have been launched by the present government, under PM Kamyab Jawan Program. These projects will help a great deal in empowering
youth in Pakistan. He further said that other schemes to be launched under the umbrella of PM Kamyab Jawan Program include Startup Pakistan for the training of entrepreneurs, Green Youth Movement (GYM) for social engagement of youth, National Internship Program (NIP), and National Health Youth Movement. The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the PM office.
