UAE Denies Visa Ban on Pakistanis

The United Arab Emirates has denied reports claiming that it has imposed a visa ban on Pakistani citizens, describing the circulating information as false and misleading.

The UAE ambassador told the media that no new visa restrictions had been introduced and that all applications continue to be processed under normal procedures.

Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE also rejected the reports, while the Foreign Office said the confusion may have arisen from old records presented during a committee briefing.

It added that no new laws have been enacted that affect visa issuance for Pakistani nationals.

On Thursday, the UAE announced new visa facilitation measures for Pakistani citizens, including online processing and the issuance of e-visas without passport stamping.

Officials stated that the UAE processes nearly five hundred visa applications daily for Pakistanis.

The reforms were outlined during a meeting between UAE Ambassador Salem M Salem AlBawab Al Zaabi and Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad.
