Writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar receives Rs15m extortion threat
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has filed a complaint with Lahore Police after receiving extortion threats from an unidentified caller demanding Rs15 million.
According to initial reports, the renowned writer was at home when he received a phone call from an unknown individual who demanded money.
The caller also threatened the dirctor to release an objectionable video involving actress Amna Urooj if the payment was not made.
The caller allegedly continued to send threatening messages and repeated calls, warning of “serious consequences” if the ransom was not delivered within the given time.

The DIG Operations, Muhammad Faisal Kamran, took notice of the incident and ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter.
A special police team has been formed to trace the suspect behind the extortion attempt, with authorities assuring that the perpetrator will be arrested soon.
Police officials have confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway to verify the claims and ensure the safety of the complainant.
