Viral Video Sparks Outrage Over ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in India
Police have arrested nine individuals after LED signboards at two shops in North Goa displayed pro-Pakistan slogans, triggering public outrage.
As per officials, the incidents occurred in Baga and Arpora, where the LED boards of a wine shop and a salon briefly flashed the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad.”
Police teams from Calangute and Anjuna acted swiftly, detaining those operating the shops and disconnecting the LED signboards immediately.
Police said in a statement that two separate First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered under sections related to sedition and promoting enmity.

The statement further added that the messages were broadcast “intentionally” through internet-connected devices, causing alarm and anger among residents.
Police said both cases are being investigated to determine whether the messages were part of a coordinated act or a digital manipulation attempt.
Officials have also seized the LED equipment and are tracing the origin of the content uploaded to the devices.
