United Bank Limited is preparing to introduce voice activation features in its mobile banking application, according to internal sources.

The planned update would allow users to transfer money by giving simple voice commands instead of navigating traditional in-app menus.

Sources said customers would be able to send money to contacts using voice instructions, making everyday transactions quicker.

The feature is also expected to support bill payments, mobile phone bill settlements, balance inquiries, and account statement checks.

While the move aims to improve convenience, it raises concerns about security, as voice-based access could be misused if safeguards are weak.

There is an expectation that strong security measures will accompany the feature when it becomes available to users.

Customers interested in accessing the update are advised to keep the UBL mobile application updated through official app stores.
