Youth is a valuable asset, will not be wasted under any circumstances, Army Chief

ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, General Syed Asim Munir, while addressing the youth, stated that Pakistan’s greatest and most valuable asset is its youth, and we will not let it be wasted under any circumstances.

Addressing the youth, the Chief of Army Staff said that knowledge distinguishes a person from others. It is the state’s responsibility to keep the public away from the frenzy and chaos generated by social media.


The Army Chief remarked that a strong relationship between the people, government, and military is the guarantee of Pakistan’s protection and development. He questioned, “Where are those who were creating the default narrative about Pakistan?” As Muslims, we are prohibited from despair.


At the end of his speech, the Army Chief recited a couplet by Allama Iqbal to the youth: “Individuals hold the fate of nations in their hands, Every individual is the star of the nation’s destiny.”


During the Q&A session following the speech, the Chief of Army Staff addressed the questions of the youth and clarified the stance of the Pakistan Army.


In response to a question about the unrest in Parachinar, the Army Chief said that the tribes should come together to resolve both fundamental and secondary disputes.


The Army Chief also stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have stood like a solid wall with the Pakistan Army against terrorism for 22 years. He expressed his belief that Allah will grant us a decisive victory against terrorism.
