Murree: Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), met with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider in Murree and provided an extensive briefing about BISP.

The governor stated that the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party envisions the welfare of the people and aims to provide them with essential facilities, noting that millions of deserving families are benefiting from BISP.

Governor Sardar Saleem Haider emphasized the need to expand BISP’s reach to ensure more deserving families can benefit from the program. He also pointed out the challenges faced by women registered under BISP, especially in rural and remote areas, in receiving financial assistance, and stressed that these issues should be addressed.

The Chairperson informed that BISP provides merit-based financial assistance to beneficiaries across the country.
