Pakistan is reportedly experiencing a nationwide diesel shortage, raising concerns among citizens ahead of potential petroleum price increases from November 16.
Sources indicate oil companies have halted diesel supply in Islamabad, causing scarcity in several regions and creating significant pressure on local dealers.
The Petroleum Dealers Association confirmed private oil firms have not supplied diesel for the past three consecutive days, worsening market availability.
Dealers claim the shortage is artificially created, suggesting companies are restricting supply despite high nationwide demand for diesel across multiple sectors.

Authorities are considering increasing petroleum product prices from November 16, with diesel potentially rising by up to nine rupees sixty paisa per litre.
Projections also suggest petrol may decrease by Rs. 1.96, kerosene may increase by Rs. 8.82, and light diesel oil could rise Rs. 7.15.
OGRA will submit recommendations to the Petroleum Division on November 15, which, after coordination with the Ministry of Finance, will notify revised petroleum prices.
