PCB and Italy Sign Cricket Development MoU
The Pakistan Cricket Board and the Italian Cricket Federation have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen cricket cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement follows the qualification of Italy for the upcoming T20 World Cup and marks a new chapter in sports diplomacy between both boards.
The memorandum was formally signed by PCB chief operating officer Sumair Ahmad Syed and by FCRI president Maria Lorena Haz Paz at a ceremonial event.
The agreement aims to support the advancement of both men’s and women’s cricket in Italy and to help build stronger structures for global competition.

Under the memorandum both boards agreed to exchange coaching and technical experts and to run joint development programmes including training camps, workshops and seminars.
They committed to holding friendly matches, organising bilateral tournaments, improving cricket infrastructure and supporting youth programmes for grassroots development.
The initiatives are expected to accelerate cricket’s expansion in Italy while providing valuable exposure and experience for players and coaches from both countries.
At the signing, the PCB chief operating officer said Pakistan was committed to contributing to global cricket development and to deepening sporting and cultural ties.
The FCRI president welcomed the collaboration, saying it aligned with Italy’s long-term strategy to elevate cricket standards and that further partnerships were being pursued.
