Gold hits Rs456,162 per tola in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Saturday as interbank-linked rates climbed, pushing the cost of a tola to Rs456,162, according to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The association said the 24-karat gold price increased by Rs1,300 per tola, reflecting continued strength in international bullion markets and currency-linked pressures in the domestic market.Gold Prices Rise in Pakistan as Silver Hits High
Data released by association showed that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,115 to Rs391,085. The 10-gram rate for 22-karat gold increased by Rs1,022 to Rs358,507.
The association said that silver prices also recorded notable gains. The price of 24-karat silver rose by Rs139 to Rs6,987 per tola. The 10-gram silver price increased by Rs119 to Rs5,990.
