IESCO chief stresses training amid power sector changes
Islamabad Electric Supply Company chief Khalid Mahmood underscored continuous training as essential for sustaining service quality and technological readiness across the power utility.
He visited the Regional Training Centre (RTC) and held a meeting with officers attending refresher training courses and reviewed the ongoing courses as well as the overall standard of training being provided.
Principal RTC, Muhammad Zahid, presented a detailed briefing on the training courses and their objectives.

Addressing the participants, chief Executive IESCO emphasized the importance of training and refresher courses in view of rapid technical advancements and evolving customer care policies in the power sector. He stated that IESCO has undoubtedly earned a unique identity in Pakistan’s power sector due to its well-trained officers and staff by use of modern technology and improved customer care services.
He further said that the primary objective of these refresher courses is to further enhance the technical and professional capabilities of the IESCO team, which will ultimately contribute to improved performance and a positive image of the organization.
The Chief Executive also issued directives to Director General HR & Admin, Muhammad Kamran Sarwar to expand the scope of training programs and ensure the provision of quality training to officers and staff at all levels.
