Lahore authorities have finalized a comprehensive transport plan for Basant, providing extensive free travel across the city to ensure safe, smooth, and accessible movement for citizens.

The initiative has been jointly planned by the Punjab Mass Transit Authority, Punjab Transport Company, and private rider companies to cover Metrobus and Orange Line Metro Train services.

Free transport will be available on 24 routes across Lahore, with 228 buses operating feeder services and 64 Metrobus vehicles serving designated corridors to manage commuter surges efficiently.

To expand capacity, 54 buses from government colleges and 73 buses from universities will be deployed, ensuring additional free transport facilities for citizens celebrating Basant throughout the city.

Officials said the Orange Line Metro Train will accommodate around 250,000 passengers daily, while approximately 87,000 people will use Metrobus services each day during the festive celebrations.
