Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday, tracking gains in the international market, according to figures released by the jewellers’ association.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs14,800 to reach Rs529,162. At the same time, the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs12,689 to Rs453,671.

The updated rates were shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, which monitors daily bullion prices across the country.

A day earlier, gold prices had already recorded a sharp increase. On Tuesday, the price per tola rose by Rs24,000 to settle at Rs514,362.

Internationally, gold prices also moved higher. The global rate increased by $148, reaching $5,064 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Silver prices followed a similar trend in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs109, taking it to Rs9,255.
