The Punjab government has launched online registration for vehicle fancy number auctions, allowing citizens to apply for their preferred numbers through a dedicated e-auction mobile app and official web portal.
Applicants can submit requests for motorcycle, motor car, and commercial vehicle fancy numbers directly from their homes, ensuring a convenient, contactless process while adhering to the March 2 registration deadline set by authorities.
The Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board, has developed a digital system enabling fully online bidding for all types of vehicle fancy numbers.

Officials confirmed that the e-auction system will display details of successful bidders on both the mobile application and the web portal, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the auction process.
Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf highlighted that the digital initiative replaces the traditional manual auction system, offering citizens an online facility that showcases the government’s commitment to integrating technology into public services.
