Saad Siddiqui, a youth tech entrepreneur, has been named Head of Crypto and Blockchain at the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), aiming to expand digital tech opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.
Siddiqui will work with government agencies, universities, incubators, and industry partners to build blockchain and digital asset initiatives, boost youth skills, and enable startups in Pakistan’s emerging digital economy.

The appointment was made under Chairman PMYP Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan as part of the programme’s strategy to prepare young people for future technologies.
Pakistan has one of the world’s youngest populations, with roughly 63 percent under age 30, and this move seeks to tap that demographic advantage in blockchain and Web3 sectors.
In his new role, Siddiqui will help forge partnerships with regulatory bodies, government institutions, and academic and industry stakeholders to design education, innovation, and employment pathways.
Siddiqui described Pakistan’s youth as the nation’s greatest strength and said the focus will be on building capacity, creating opportunities, and enabling young people to become builders in the global digital economy.
His appointment aligns with broader national efforts to integrate blockchain technology and digital assets into Pakistan’s economic landscape. The government has been advancing capacity-building and innovation initiatives through the PMYP and related digital youth platforms such as the Digital Youth Hub, which connects young people with jobs, education, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
These efforts are taking place amid parallel public-sector moves to craft a regulatory framework for digital and virtual assets under the Pakistan Crypto Council, established in 2025 to steer blockchain strategy and policy.
By placing a youth-focused leader on crypto and blockchain, the PMYP aims to give Pakistan’s young population structured access to future tech jobs and innovation roles.
