BYD Showcases Pakistan’s Beauty in Great Adventure Series
BYD, the global leader in new energy vehicles (NEVs), has launched a unique cinematic travel series titled “The Great Pakistan Adventure.” This initiative highlights Pakistan’s rich and diverse landscapes through four compelling journeys powered by the BYD Shark 6, the country’s most powerful plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) pickup.
The digital series consists of four episodes, each exploring a distinct terrain that the BYD Shark 6 is engineered to conquer: mud, sand, snow, and mountain environments. These journeys traverse some of Pakistan’s most challenging and remote regions, putting the vehicle’s capabilities to the test.
Built on BYD’s DMO Super Hybrid platform, the Shark 6 boasts features like intelligent all-wheel drive, robust torque, elevated ground clearance, and hybrid efficiency. These attributes enable it to tackle steep mountain passes, snow-laden valleys, desert tracks, muddy paths, and rugged coastlines with confidence. Its impressive combined range of up to 800 kilometers demonstrates endurance for long-distance exploration where paved roads give way to natural paths.
Ayesha Janjua, Vice President of Marketing at BYD Pakistan Mega Motor Company (MMC), emphasized the campaign’s vision, stating that Pakistan’s extraordinary landscapes and cultural stories deserved to be shared more widely. She described the Shark 6 not just as a vehicle but as an enabler of discovery, helping the team delve deeper into the heart of Pakistan.
Syed Haider Mujtaba, General Manager of Marketing at BYD Pakistan MMC, highlighted the narrative approach used in the series. “The Great Pakistan Adventure” focuses on authentic and raw storytelling that captures the excitement of exploration while showcasing the Shark 6’s performance. Mujtaba also noted that the campaign pays tribute to the dreamers and change-makers quietly shaping Pakistan’s future, aiming to inspire viewers to reconnect with and appreciate their country.
Directed by filmmaker Zohaib Kazi, the series features four expeditions with prominent Pakistani figures: adventurer Abrar Hassan tracking snow leopards in Hushe Valley; storyteller Maryam Raja exploring Sindh’s traditions and wildlife; content creator Bilal Hassan (Mystapaki) journeying through the deserts of Cholistan and Bahawalpur; and Nadir Nahdi discovering surf culture and local communities along the coastlines of Karachi and Balochistan.
