Apple Lists iPhone 18 Pro Repair Part Prices
Apple has updated its Self-Service Repair Store with replacement parts for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, allowing customers in supported areas to handle repairs independently. The company has also added components for the latest Mac Studio and Mac mini models.
iPhone 18 Pro Repair Parts Pricing
The list of available parts for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup includes back glass, batteries, speakers, cameras with a variable aperture system, displays, enclosures, front cameras, logic boards, microphones, SIM trays, and Taptic Engines. Also offered are essential tools such as adhesive cutters, suction cups, and torque drivers to assist in performing repairs at home.
Specifically, the rear camera replacement is priced at $249, consistent with last year’s iPhone 17 Pro models. Customers returning their original camera receive a credit of $59.76, which lowers the net cost to $189.24. Similarly, display replacements are set at $329 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $379 for the Pro Max, with modest return credits available.
Battery replacements cost $129 for both iPhone 18 Pro models, and customers can get a $61.92 credit by sending back the old battery, effectively paying $67.08. However, the battery replacement for the Pro Max is not yet available for purchase. Other parts like back glass and front camera replacements are priced at $159 and $199 respectively, with return credits reducing the final cost.
Self-Service Repair Expansion Includes Macs
Beyond iPhones, Apple’s repair catalog has been expanded to cover desktop computers such as the Mac Studio and Mac mini. Replacement components now include ports, fans, speakers, SSD modules, logic boards, and power supplies for these devices. This broadening of options reinforces Apple’s commitment to empowering users with genuine parts and tools.
Why This Matters for Pakistan
Apple’s Self-Service Repair program, launched in 2022, plays a crucial role by providing authorized parts and instructions for repair, reducing reliance on professional service centers. For tech-savvy consumers and repair shops in Pakistan, these developments potentially lower the cost of device maintenance and facilitate quicker fixes with genuine components. As Apple devices remain popular in Pakistan, access to official spare parts can improve device longevity and help users manage repair expenses more effectively.
Apple also offers the option to rent a comprehensive repair tool kit for $49 on a seven-day basis, making it more accessible for individuals without specialized equipment.
According to Apple, official repair manuals accompany each component, guiding customers through supported repairs step-by-step, highlighting the company’s strategy to promote sustainable device management.
As Zohaib Shah, a technology reporter, points out, “Apple’s move extends genuine parts availability, giving users control over repairs without compromising on quality.”
