Babar Azam Surpasses Kohli to Set New T20I Milestone
Former Pakistani captain Babar Azam achieved another historic milestone by surpassing Indian legend Virat Kohli for the most fifty-plus scores in T20I history.
During the third T20I, the right-hander played a stunning 36-ball innings, reaching his 37th half-century and recording his 40th score of fifty or more.
Babar arrived at the crease after Pakistan lost opener Saim Ayub for a duck and anchored the innings with his signature calm and fluent stroke play.
The innings also marked the first T20I fifty for the Lahore-born cricketer since May 2024 against Ireland, ending a long dry spell in impressive fashion.
