University of Chakwal inaugurates E-Rozgaar Centre
University of Chakwal has inaugurated the E-Rozgaar Centre. The newly established center was launched by the Advisor to CM Punjab on Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Bilal Khan.
Additionally, an MOU signing ceremony took place for the post-project continuation. The MoU was signed by PITB e-Governance Saajid Latif and Vice-Chancellor of University of Chakwal, Dr. Bilal Khan.
The center aims to ensure the sustainable operation of E-Rozgaar under a self-sustainable model, providing digital skills learning opportunities for the youth of Chakwal. Internet Providers to outsource Infrastructure under Sharing Framework
Senior officials including Secretary Umair Hassan, Deputy Director Planning & Development Rauuf Bajwa, Registrar University of Chakwal Dr. Ishtiyaq, and PITB Joint Director Freelancing Wing Chaudhry Ahmad Islam were also present.
The launch of the E-Rozgaar Center in Chakwal, led by Vice-Chancellor University of Chakwal, Dr. Bilal Khan, represents a significant step towards equipping the youth with market-relevant digital skills and enabling their success in the digital era.
It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Wahab Riaz and Mr. Sajid Latif. Mr. Riaz is a renowned sportsman and the right person for the job, while Mr. Latif is the driving force behind Pakistan’s E-Rozgaar program, empowering thousands to earn through freelancing, especially during a challenging job market in the country.
The total revenue from E-Rozgaar reached USD 500 million in 2022, placing Pakistan fourth worldwide. Mr. Sajid Latif expressed that training 500,000 freelancers in Pakistan would result in an estimated revenue of USD 15 billion.
